About Us

I am Eboni Ditimus and I started Bougie Girlz Fashion in 2013 after serving 14yrs in the Navy.  I always had a passion for fashion so after being confined to a uniform for 14yrs I reached out to a couple of close friends who encouraged me to start my own clothing boutique.   I thought “what would be my purpose in this industry and why would women want to purchase from me”.  I noticed there was a gap in the fashion industry for tall plus size women.  I stand 5ft 10in tall and noticed that most stores that offered plus size clothing assumed those women were short and stores that offered tall sizing assumed those women were slim.  Well most tall plus size women are neither.  With little knowledge of the manufacturing process I put my own idea of designing on hold to study more about this fashion industry.  I decided to purchase wholesale and style the clothing different ways to give women options that they may have never thought would fit them due to their size.

I feel like curves are a fashion statement that should never be covered up.  That’s why I chose to be the boutique’s model to show women that they could be just as fly as shorter slimmer women. This was an instant success!  Women noticed the boutique more due to social media marketing and friends reposting and sharing pictures of clothing they purchased from my boutique.  I was often a vendor at shows and festivals to get my name out and this draw more customers to my brand.  But in 2014 I relocated to Virginia to better my civil service career.  Things became overwhelming trying to learn a new position and being a mom.  So in 2016 I decided to close the business to pursue my career with the Federal Government.  Along the way, I continued to excel in my career with the federal government but the passion was not as strong as my love for the fashion industry.   As i get closer to retirement I’m starting to have regrets of closing my clothing business and I have decided to relaunch my brand in 2021.

My mission going forward is to understand the manufacturing process, learn to sew, and create my own designs.  I want to offer a more luxury style of clothing with a reasonable price tag for tall and plus size women to have more choices in clothing.  I feel like fashion should make a statement without breaking your bank account. I hope you enjoy your shopping experience with Bougie Girlz Fashion and thank you for choosing a minority veteran women owned small business for your styling needs.
